DUBAI, Dec 12 - Germany's Sandra Gal guided her CNN-1 to a two-shot victory in the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters Pro Am (morning session) at the Emirates Golf Club on Tuesday.
The team, which consisted of Samer El Khalid, Adel Hamdan and Steve Wilkinson as amateurs, carded an impressive 20-under score to take the honours in the traditional curtain-raiser to the season-ending Ladies European Tour event.
The Emirates NBD team, spearheaded by Karen Lunn of Australia, finished second two strokes off the pace, beating the Ladies European Tour on a countback.
The three amateurs in the Emirates NBD team included Vaqas Ahmed, Inderbhal Singh and Bipin Nhatia while Gillhem Pezet, Ben Bye and Shravan Khan teamed up with Sophie French professiona Giquel-Bettan in the Ladies European Tour team.
In the afternoon shotgun, the Carpetland team, comprising Caroline Afonso (professional), Shariar Khodjasteh, Bayer Khan and Sandeep took the honours with a brilliant 21-under score.
The Emirates NBD team, led by France's Jade Schaeffer, finished second, five shots back. The amateurs in the team consisted of Chanchal Nanda, Ashish Nanda and Deepak Kohli. They beat the Omega team on a countback.
Russia's Maria Verchenova spearheaded the Omega team which included Naeema Maya, Ishwar Jodha and Vinod Arya as the three amateurs.
